August 16, 2025- A sweet unrest

“Awake forever in a sweet unrest,”

~John Keats

A sweet spot exists. In it, we love ourselves unconditionally. We are aware of our strengths and we lean into them. We are aware of the areas in which we would like to grow and we address them. This is a sweet unrest.

If we are looking to be a finished product, we are going to be disappointed. We are human and we are flawed. Even with the purest intentions and the greatest planning, we will still fail on execution sometimes.

Unrest is different from self-loathing. We can understand that there is space between what we are and what we wish to become without hating ourselves for that space. We can see that space is an opportunity for growth, for evolution. We can be motivated to chip away at that space each day, unwilling to stop that pursuit. And we can still love ourselves completely for what we are, right here, right now.

Seek growth today. Be unfailing in your pursuit of a better version of you without holding that up as a condition of your love. Practice loving and nurturing yourself the way you wish to love others, and the way you’d like to be loved.
