January 7, 2026- A giant suitcase

The less you think you are, the more you bear. And if you think you are nothing, you bear everything.

~Antonio Porchia

It’s really nice to be able to hop on an airplane with nothing but a carry-on. Being able to skip the process of checking luggage, knowing there is no chance of your bag getting lost, being able to head right to your destination without waiting for the carousel – it is all liberating.

On the other hand, it is nice to have an extra set of clothes. It is nice to have space to bring some things that you may want with you on your trip, even if you aren’t sure you’ll need them. If you don’t pack it, and you find out later that you need it, you’re going to have to figure out how to find it wherever you’re going.

When it comes to us, personally, we have everything we need, right here with us. When we think we are not enough, we are right. It’s not because we are truly deficient, but because in denying our own power, we lose access to it. It is like we went on a trip and failed to pack it.

You are enough, just as you are. Within you is discipline, grace, reflection, and resilience. Don’t deny those tools. Don’t lose access to your power. Your soul has packed a giant suitcase, full of everything you need to thrive, but you are the one who must acknowledge your worthiness. You have everything you truly need.
