September 29, 2026- When you're ready

It is OK to pause. It is OK to take a moment just to take a moment. The universe doesn’t move along according to our own individual timeline. There are times when we are simply not ready for an opportunity when it arises. We don’t have to take all of them. We are not our circumstances; we are our choices.

We cannot afford to get caught up in such a constant state of FOMO that we never say no. We do not have to attend that party that everyone else is going to. We do not have to take that golden job opportunity. We do not have to escalate that relationship that has been going so well. We do not have to sign up for that race just because we’ve taken up running.

The universe can go ahead and operate on its own timeline while we operate on ours. Yes, that may occasionally leave us standing on a platform with no great transportation plans while our train pulls away, but maybe that train was going to take us somewhere we weren’t quite ready to be. If they truly care, the people waiting for us to arrive at our destination will understand and wait patiently. If not, maybe they weren’t really our people?

We are our choices. Board the train when you’re ready for it.
