June 22, 2026- Doubt

The very foundation of science is to keep open the door to doubt.

~Carlo Rovelli

We don’t have to be sure of anything. We also don’t need to be sure of an idea to act on it. Life is a great series of experiments. We come up with hypotheses and we test them. We can be sure they will work and they don’t. We can be certain they will fail and they don’t. We have to be open to these experiments and give both failure and success an opportunity to happen.

Doubt is necessary. If we want to grow, there must be some space to grow into. If we move through our lives certain that we have everything right, we have a very difficult time reflecting on the times when we’re wrong. We will miss out on opportunities for growth. We will blame fate or circumstances for our errors in judgment.

Doubt does not need to paralyze us. We can have doubts in our strategy and in our skills without ever doubting our resilience. We have made mistakes in the past, and here we are. We are living proof that you can fall and get up, that you can make errors, learn from them, correct them, and emerge successful.

Doubt your ideas without doubting your ideals. Have faith in the process and stay the course. Success is a crooked path that often requires patience. Our journey is worth the effort.
