We are worthy of love, right now, just as we are. That worthiness is not contingent on our mastery of a new hobby, our fluency in a new language, our stories of travel to new lands, or our sudden interest in a new branch of science. We are enough, right now, and if we choose to live out our days just as we are, that can continue to be enough.

Most of us, however, seek growth. Most of us believe we have untapped potential. Most of us believe there is a better version of us inside, just waiting to be exposed.

Both of those things can be true at exactly the same time. Some people love cold pizza, the morning after they ordered it. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t good when it was fresh. We can seek things that are not required. We can love ourselves, just as we are, completely and unconditionally, and still desire evolution. We can love others that same way, and still encourage and support their growth, even and especially when their growth may cause them to move a bit farther away from us.

What we already know about ourselves is entirely worthy of love. What we don’t know about ourselves is full of possibility. Let’s explore that.
