November 7, 2025- Take control of your life

There are millions of ways we could pass through this one life. We get to make choices at every moment. Each of those choices will alter our path – some slightly, and others profoundly. Each of these choices is ours alone to make, as nobody else has traveled the road we have.

We can value and respect the counsel of others. We can take on role models. We can pattern many of our choices to emulate them. But even the best and the brightest among us have faults, and nobody is equipped to make all of our choices for us. We must take responsibility for our own lives, and the decision-making agency that will shape it is all ours.

There will be others who will try to thrust their wisdom upon us. They will act as if their authority is greater than our own over our choices. They may well have the greatest intentions. They may love us deeply. But their way is not the right way, because the right way does not exist.

Lean into your connections. Value the opinion and wisdom of others. But take control of your life and make your own choices. Learn when you fall and learn when you rise. You are your choices.
